• 4th House (Sukha Bhava) - Represents the homeland and roots. For a person to leave their native land, the 4th house often shows some degree of affliction or disconnection.
• 3rd House - Connected to short travel, paperwork courage, and communication - directly relevant when visa interviews and documentation are involved.

Planets That Influence Foreign Movement

• Rahu - In Vedic astrology, Rahu is the natural Karaka (significator) of foreign lands. When Rahu is placed in the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th house, it often indicates a strong pull toward life abroad. However, Rahu is also capable of bringing sudden delays and confusion in the same areas it governs.
• Saturn (Shani) - Shani placed in or aspecting the 12th house can bring delays in foreign settlement, sometimes pushing it to later in life. When Shani and Rahu come together in a chart, the combination called Shrapit Yoga or Shrapit Dosha can create persistent, difficult-to-explain blocks.
• Mercury (Budh) - Governs documentation, communication, and interview performance. A weakened Budh in the chart can show up as misunderstandings during visa interviews or errors in paperwork.

Afflicted 9th or 12th House

If malefic planets like Rahu or Shani heavily influence both the 9th and 12th houses, the chart itself shows a period of obstruction around foreign movement. This is not permanent - it is tied to planetary periods (Dasha and Antardasha).

Unfavorable Dasha Periods

The Mahadasha and Antardasha running at the time of application matter significantly. Even a chart that strongly indicates foreign travel may not produce results if the running Dasha is not connected to the right houses. • Chanting of specific mantras such as the Rahu Mantra (Om Raam Rahave Namah) or Shani Mantra (Om Sham Shanicharaya Namah), typically 108 times on the appropriate day
• Performance of a targeted Puja or Havan - for example, a Rahu Shanti Puja for Shrapit Dosha, or a Pitra Tarpan for Pitru Dosha
• Donation (Daan) - offering items associated with the afflicting planet on the relevant day, such as urad dal and dark cloth on Saturdays for Shani
• Wearing a specific Rudraksha based on the planetary combination - the 9 Mukhi Rudraksha is connected to Rahu, and the 17 Mukhi to Shani-related delays
• Yantra installation after proper consecration, specific to the afflicting planet

All of these are suggested based on the individual chart. I do not advise gemstones or Rudraksha without first checking the full Kundali, because the wrong remedy for the wrong planet can cause more confusion than it resolves.
